The Crans Montana Forum has chosen Geneva (Switzerland) to organize its 20th Annual Session of the Homeland & Global Security Forum, which took place from October 24 to 27, 2018.

In this highly sensitive period marked by hardening and rejections, this Forum addressed every issue related to today’s major Global Security challenges and threats on Global Governance.

Being a multi-dimensional platform, it brought together Heads of State and Government, Ministers, International Organisations, Parliaments, Justice & Police Administrations and, obviously, Businesses coming from more than 100 countries.

In addition to high-level networking opportunities, this Forum encouraged international cooperation, sharing experiences, innovative responses and good practices.

Given the current international context, the following hot topics were at the agenda :

  • Hardening of International relations & fight against terrorism
  • Corruption & Economic Crime
  • Africa’s integration & its security challenges
  • Public Health Security, the need for improved and strengthened regional cooperation
  • Sudden & massive migrations, a crisis of civilization

In addition, three exceptional events were held during the Forum :

  1. Special Programme dedicated to Cybersecurity & Information Governance with a special focus on the Development of Crypto-due Diliigence
  2. an Extraordinary Session of the African Women’s Forum organized at the United Nations Office in Geneva, addressing Women’s Empowerment, the driving force of the African Continent’s Social & Economic Development
  3. Special Programme of the Club of Ports on Maritime Strategy & Port Development, with an emphasis on the Arctic’s economic, security & environmental challenges
