The “Declaration of Dakhla” a major step initiated by Mr. Anass Doukkali, Minister of Health of Morocco, with the support of all African Ministers attending the Forum in Dakhla

In
the framework of the Crans Montana Forum DAKHLA-AFRICA, an Intergovernmental
Conference dedicated to Universal Health Coverage & Health Security was
chaired by Mr. Anass Doukkali, Minister of Health of Morocco.
On this occasion, Mr. Anass Doukkali presented the Dakhla
Declaration, which proposes to reform African health systems around 6
concrete axes, including effective access to quality health services
for at least 75% of the population, a reduction in maternal and infant
mortality in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, and the establishment
of an integrated and reactive African epidemiological vigilance
system.
The presentation of the Dakhla Declaration took place in the presence of many
high level personalities and Ministers including Mrs. Isatou Touray, Vice
President of the Republic of The Gambia, Mr. Alfonso Nsue Mokuy, Dep.
Prime Minister of Equatorial Guinea, Mrs. Wilhelmina S. Jallah, Minister of
Health and Social Welfare of Liberia, Mr. Arlindo Nascimento do Rosário,
Minister of Health and Social Security of Cape Verde, Mr. Carlos Soto,
Minister of Public Health and Social Assistance of Guatemala, Mrs. Sarah Achieng
Opendi, Minister of State for Health of Uganda, Mrs. Juliet Kavetuna, Dep.
Minister of Health and Social Services of Namibia, and Mr. Robert Hue,
President of Drep’Afrique.
