FROM THE DESK OF THE CRANS MONTANA FORUM’S CHAIRMAN & FOUNDER - COMMUNIQUE

September 15, 2020

As you have noticed, the Covid-19 pandemic has brutally stopped the Crans Montana Forum’s activities... Obviously we cannot organize any more gatherings of 500 to 1.500 participants coming from all over the World when this terrible virus is turning around.

We definitely entered - and certainly for a long period ! - a new World. We do have to reinvent everything including our own behaviors. Indeed, this pandemic will last... We are paying the price of our long-lasting lack of respect to, among others, the nature and the environment.

But the Crans Montana Forum will not offer you, like others, webinars or webinaires to be our Forums’ substitute. Their concept is unique and such a solution, even temporary, would be meaningless.

Indeed what we have been offering to our participants for the last 35 years is exceptional : the opportunity of meeting the highest level of beings and minds and above all a real humane contact that nothing will replace, certainly not a camera.

But, the creation of the IUHEI Crans Montana Institute (www.iuhei.org) proves now that we were visionary at the right moment. Indeed, the today’s new World asks for continuous education and information, capacity building, sharing of experiences. At this level, video sessions are valuable, proving to be more than useful and appropriate. This is what the Institute will focus on for the moment.

We are waiting for our World to be normal again... In the meantime, I invite you to get in touch with our Institute (www.iuhei.org). This Institution is supported by numerous high level international personalities, so that we can continue to work together and be committed to building a better World.

Take care of yourself and your loved ones and... see you soon!

Ambassador Jean-Paul Carteron
Chairman and Founder of the Crans Montana Forum
